Geoffrey, from Dayton, OH graduated from Central State University in 2006 with a BS degree in Marketing and Economics. During his undergraduate years at CSU he was very active with the Student Government Association (President 2005-2006); CSU Board of Trustees (2003-2005); Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.; Student Advisory Council (2002-2005); Students in free Enterprise (2003-2005); Student Ambassador (2002-2005) and Golf Team (2003-2006).
Geoffrey continues to be active with his fraternity, The Black Rhinos Mentoring Program and of course the Central State University Atlanta Alumni Chapter.

About Me: I currently live in Acworth, GA and have been married to a fellow Centralian, Kirk Norris, for 24 years. We are the proud parents of two beautiful college educated daughters. I enjoy reading my Nook, volunteering and spending "grown up" time with friends now that we are empty nesters. Being involved in Central State University's alumni activities has been extremely rewarding. I enjoy meeting and working with so many talented alumni to help broaden alumni connections. I look forward to continuing to serve fellow alumni by fostering both engagement and the delivery of alumni resources.

About Me: I'm a c/o 85 graduate of Central State University. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio and residing in Atlanta, Georgia since 1985. My concentration was Speech Communications with a B.A. degree upon graduation. I am a member of The Order Of the Eastern Star here in Atlanta, Georgia and an active member of the Central State University Atlanta Alumni Association.
LaVerne Spaulding VanZant ’67, has been a lifetime employee of Los Angeles Unified School District and retired in 2001 as an elementary school administrator. After 34 years with the District she went back and worked until 2006 as an Education Consultant, Supervisor of Student Teachers, State Monitor for Underperforming Schools, Principal Coach and School Account Sales Specialist.
Born and raised in Farmingdale, Long Island, New York, Mrs. VanZant attended Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio where she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education in three years. She holds a Teaching Credential, Master’s Degree in Urban Education as well as an Educational Administrative Credential from California State University, Los Angeles. She completed all classes and qualifying exams for the Education and Policy Studies in Education Doctoral Program from UCLA and Doctor of Education Degree in Educational Leadership from Americus University.
Dr. VanZant was the former Treasurer, Board Member and Public Relations contact for the Los Angeles CSU Alumni until moving to Fayetteville, GA in 2006. She is currently the Scholarship Chairperson and College Fair Point person for the Atlanta CSU Alumni. She volunteers wherever and whenever she can to promote Central State University.
